Giglionomitromicon

Here's an image I started as an exercise yesterday morning before work that turned into a long experimentation. Trying out diffrent brushes I've made in photoshop as a static background, seems to work well to separate the rendered form, I'm sure I'll be trying diffrent things with this in the future. Not sure on the time spent on this, got kinda lost in it, bare minimum was 2 40mins sessions, and spots here and there since last night. Photoshop CS and Painter 9 as usual.

Einstein Study

Made Einstein the subject of my morning exercise after watching a documentary on him this past weekend. Included some works in progress to show some of the way I work. Nothing special here, just a b&w image, but in the future as I do more complicated techniques Ill show the steps for those.

The initial sketch, everything at this point needs to be worked on, the face here is just a place holder as I work out the features.

A few values put in, still refining the face.

The final image, roughly 2hrs, Painter 9 and Photoshop CS.

First Post!

This is the first of many posts to come. I'm planning on uploading daily images such as this morning exercise, and periodically some work that's going to an over all bigger project I'll discuss as I post more. This is some type of creepy monk, 2.75 hours, Painter 9 and Photoshop CS.
